Tomorrow's my birthday!! Hoorahh (and boooo for leaving the teens o___O)!!! Because of the holidays and winter break, I've been doing a lot of cruising on the internet and catching up with one of my favorite mangas/anime; Revolutionary Girl Utena. The manga has been sitting on my shelf for years, and I finally got to reread it again. This is one of those rather old mangas, and ever since I was little I've been dying to get a hold of this ring from the series!
The characters in the series wear this rose seal as a symbol of nobility and serve as an indication to other wearers of the ring that they are duelers. They all compete to reach this castle in the sky called "World's End", which holds the power to revolutionize the world. There's also a movie, which is REALLY trippy, but I <3 it anyway.
These are just some of the remakes available, but they're still rather difficult to get a hold of. I am intending to order a ring for myself, since I finally found a website that handmakes them and they're actually sterling silver. It costs a pretty penny (I'll be saving my paychecks for this...), and unfortunately I can't post the photo here because the website prevents me from doing so--but it's similar to the ring on the left (it leaves a rose seal imprint on sealing wax--how cool is that??). I've been so fond of tea lately, and in my search for finding the teacup on the left (it has the rose seal on it), I came across the one of the right (which is so cute--its in the shape of a heart! I want one). I can't find anybody selling the one on the left (arrrgg), and I was thinking I could make it (if I could find a place that would let me use their ceramic oven...). So I've been debating about getting the Wii since the summer, and for Christmas my parents decided for me as my Christmas/birthday present! I'm so excited to finally use it, and yesterday I went on a hunt to find the Wii fit all over Long Island. I never thought I'd be one of those people who would run into a store for one game, but I've been searching since last month and stores were sold out everywhere! But who got the LAST one at Targets all over Long Island? That's right. Me! Booya! It felt like a movie; running into Target, passing a woman who walked out with one, me skidding to the cashier at the electronics, me hugging the Wii Fit on the line, and the cashier telling the people who came (seriously a few seconds) after me that I got the last one. Oh the feeling of such an accomplishment! Normally, I'm the person who comes a few seconds after the last product of something is sold. Just felt like I had to rant that out since I didn't have anybody else to brag to about getting it... |
